RSVP is a federally funded program under the Corporation for National and Community Service. The corporation also funds programs such as the Foster Grandparent Program, Ameri*Corps and Vista. United Way of Cascade County is our sponsoring agent. RSVP has been connecting volunteers with opportunities for more than 40 years. Actively recruit and engage citizens 55 and older with volunteer opportunities in our community.
We partner with local organizations to help recruit and match volunteers with the right project or position. We work on recruiting volunteers for a variety of programs as new needs emerge in the community and connect volunteers with different opportunities. Our goal is make sure that anyone 55 years and older that would like to volunteer has the opportunity to do so and the support they need.
RSVP recruits and places volunteers 55 and older in area non-profits and proprietary health care organizations. Our own volunteers help us with events, recognition, mailings and recruitment of volunteers. By volunteering with us you will have impact in many different organization by helping them to keep a full roster of volunteers, be a part of numerous events and help keep a support system for older volunteers in place.
Volunteers at Roosevelt Elementary School work with teachers to support the education of students. Duties vary based on the teachers’ needs, but volunteers frequently work with small groups of students or one on one on reading activities.
Founded in 1968 as Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Rural Dynamics, Inc. (RDI) provides programs and develops partnerships to help youth, individuals, and families achieve economic independence. They are a partner with the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program for their annual Tax Help program. Volunteers provide free tax preparation to low- to moderate-income individuals.
